And it keeps growing...
Truly, we cannot thank any of you enough for your kindness and generosity.
We are still reeling from the fact that the hospital really wants us to pay over a quarter of a million dollars.
I will try to keep you updated on any new happenings!

Eric's Hospital Bill - What our Insurance didn't cover..
As many of you already know, our son Eric was born 6 1/2 weeks early, something we weren't prepared for (who is?). He spent an entire month in the NICU at approximately (from our guesstimations) $12K/day.
What we weren't prepared for was to find out that, not 10 minutes after his birth, Eric exhausted his medical benefits - leaving us in a mound of medical debt.
This very possibly could leave us in financial ruin. The word "bankruptcy" is being thrown around a lot - and it's really something we do NOT want to do.
Our "insurance" failed to explain to us that our benefits were almost exhausted, despite numerous phone calls to our provider and COBRA (for which we are/were paying close to $1000/month).
We truly believed we were covered 80/20 and are responsible adults that pay our bills on time, abide by the law, own a home, etc. When Charles gave me this news last night - I actually had a mini-breakdown.
Currently, we're looking at a balance of $225,000.00. The $198K as our "goal" is Eric's totals only.
Absolutely anything will help us pay down this debt, even if it's just a $1.
I will gladly provide copies of the bill if needed.
Thank you for reading this.
